Aggrieved (adj.)
感到委屈的，受侵害的，忿忿不平的
・Cambridge: unhappy and angry because of unfair treatment
Bum (n.)
原意為屁股，衍伸為乞丐、遊手好閒的人，醉鬼。形容詞劣質、無用的。動詞乞討。e
Burrata (n.)
一種起司，源自於義大利南部的普利亞大區，近年風靡歐美與日本。外國人很愛吃起司噢，早餐午餐晚餐都會有，如果要融入外國要好好了解起司品種唷嘻嘻
Cannon (n.)
加農砲、大砲，如果用在人可以引申為厲害的人（地位不可撼動）
Con (n.)
騙局，圈套，花招
a trick to get someone’s money or make someone do what you want
(V.) 詐騙 to make someone believe something false, usually so that that person will give you their money or possessions
Dollop (n.)
一小團一小塊，通常是食物的一部份，而食物可能是軟綿狀或是濃稠狀，也可指液體的一部份。e.g. a dollop of milk/ a dollop of ketchup/ a dollop of cream
・MW: an indefinite often large quantity especially of something liquid or a small lump or glob of something soft or mushy
Drawing a blank (phrase)
（突然）想不到 頭腦一片空白
・Cambridge: to fail to get an answer or a result
Dutch courage (n.)
酒膽，借著酒意做出的勇敢舉動，暗指一般時候不敢，酒後才在裝勇敢，所以是貶義的
・ Cambridge: the confidence that some people get from drinking alcohol before they do something that needs courage
Eightball (n.)
多半是借指古柯鹼，原因：A quantity of coke or crystal that weighs an eighth of an ounce, hence an “eightball”.
Coke: Cocaine abbr.
Ounce: a measurement of weight equal to 28 grams ( 4 quads )often used in reference to drugs. / Gram is the smallest amount generally available for purchase. / Eighth: 3.5 grams / Fourth: (commonly referred to as a quad) 7 grams
Elusive (a.)
難以捉摸的、模糊的
・MW: hard to isolate or identify/ hard to comprehend or define/ tending to evade grasp or pursuit
Foremost (a.)
首席、首要、最重要的 e.g. first and foremost
・MW: first in a series or progression
Hankering (n.)
渴望，hanker的名詞形式。其實是個很簡單的詞只是比較道地，我們在學校裡沒學過。
・ Cambridge: a strong wish
Hotshot (n.)
高手，能人。（我看過有翻成殺手的，覺得不合適…）
・ Cambridge: someone who is skillful and successful at something
Jagerbomb (n.)
一種雞尾酒！
・Wikipedia: is a bomb shot mixed drink that was originally mixed by dropping a shot of Jägermeister into an energy drink
Like the ginger cat that got the cream (idiom)
其中的ginger可以省略，意思是，因為做了某件事很成功而志得意滿的樣子
・Merriam-Webster. : used to say that someone looks very proud or satisfied about something he or she has done
Roofy (n.)
迷姦藥
Term for Rohypno. It was used for strong sedation in medical, now is in infamous as a date rape drug
Seven Sisters (n.) (college)
七姊妹院校
・Wikipedia: The Seven Sisters are seven highly selective and prestigious liberal arts colleges in the Northeastern United States that are historically women’s colleges. Barnard College, Bryn Mawr College, Mount Holyoke College, Smith College, Wellesley College, Vassar College, and Radcliffe College.
Squaring the circle (idiom)
化圓成方，指不可能的事 數學領域已證明一個圓是不可能與一個方形的面積劃上等號的
The expression “squaring the circle” is sometimes used as a metaphor for trying to do the impossible.
Topsy-turvy (adj.)
常指亂七八糟的，顛倒的。這個詞各大字典都可找到耶，看來是個很常用的詞喔（馬上寫進筆記本裡！）
・Merriam-Webster: 1. in utter confusion or disorder 2. upside down ・Cambridge : (in a state of being) confused, not well organized, or giving importance to unexpected things
